NCEI has launched a new tsunami data dashboard (Tsu-Dash) designed to answer frequently asked questions through dynamic visualizations. Powered by live data from the NCEI Global Historical Tsunami Database, the tool offers a high-level overview of historical events. Users can instantly explore key insights—such as the deadliest tsunamis or a percentage breakdown of generation mechanisms—without needing to navigate complex scientific search forms. Based on web analytics to prioritize the information users want most, the dashboard makes critical data easily accessible while improving the consistency of tsunami information shared across user communities. This initial version will see continuous improvements and feature expansions in the future.
